A sophisticated, herbal sour cocktail that balances the rich notes of Cognac with the complex, aromatic sweetness of Green Chartreuse, brightened by lemon and a hint of absinthe.

Ingredients
- 2 oz Cognac
- ¾ oz Green Chartreuse
- ¾ oz Lemon Juice
- ¼ oz Simple Syrup
- 1 dash Angostura Bitters (optional)
- ¼ oz Absinthe (optional)
- 1 slice Lemon (optional)
Instructions
- If using, rinse a chilled coupe glass with absinthe, discarding any excess.
- Combine Cognac, Green Chartreuse, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and Angostura bitters (if using) in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled (about 15-20 seconds).
- Double strain the cocktail into the prepared coupe glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
