New Orleans classic with rye and absinthe.

Ingredients
- 2 oz Rye Whiskey
- ¼ oz Absinthe
- ¼ oz Simple Syrup
- 3 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- 1 slice Lemon (garnish)
Instructions
- Rinse a chilled rocks glass with absinthe, discard excess
- In a mixing glass, muddle sugar with bitters
- Add rye and ice, stir until well-chilled
- Strain into the prepared glass (neat)
- Garnish with lemon peel, expressed and discarded
